Asclepius, a demi-god in Greek mythology, the son of divine Apollo and mortal Koronis, was blessed with the gift of healing and the secrets of medicine using plants and herbs. The most famous descendant of the "father of medicine" was, undoubtedly, Hippocrates.
Those who are truly passionate and deserving would be admitted to selected university programmes to begin their endaevours in biomedical sciences.
To discover, guide, and nurture talented biomedical minds, enabling their achievements to advance professions and benefit societies.
Creativity: Imagination, “think out of the box”, appreciate unbound possibilities are elements necessary to make the leaps in science.
Humanity: Without kindness, compassion, and empathy, all other qualities are rendered worthless, as the absence of such means disconnection to emotions and the world.
Perseverance: Hard work is the key to start the engine of success, with passion being the fuel.
Professionalism: Being ethical, competent, reliable, and trustworthy are the fundamental pillars for accomplished experts.
Ratiocination: Evidence-based, unbiased and logical reasoning are the profound features upholding scientific truth.
The Founder of Asclepius Consultancy is an experienced educator with both medical and biomedical science training at elite universities worldwide; moreover, he knows the “ins and outs” of school admission processes from his in-depth experience as an interviewer and admission committee member. Consultants at Asclepius are experienced clinicians and scientists in their respective fields located in Asia, Europe, and North America. All are enthusiastic educators eager to “give back” to their professions and societies by cultivating the next generation of compassionate and competent professionals. Asclepius does not believe in “spoon-feeding”, our guidance instils proactive knowledge seeking. Not only the Asclepius Team have all “been there and done that”, most are also “everyday parents”. We understand parents' desire and the tremendous efforts spent, in expediting their children to excel in life. We care about every individual we work with, we strive to get each of them the best, and want all parents to feel secured leaving their children’s futures with us.
Clinician scientists, professorial staff, practitioners, and senior government scientific advisors. All are seasoned and enthusiastic educators who have been or currently holding academic appointments at prominent universities worldwide. We respect our respective professions highly! We are eager to seek and guide the next generations of highly-qualified individuals to serve and lead.
Preparing the portfolio is undoubtedly one of the most essential components for university application. Admission officers, especially those from prestigious institutions, would rely heavily on the presenting portfolio for initial screening. As such, a suboptimal presentation of the portfolio - even with more than satisfactory academic performance – could render an application unsuccessful. Moreover, the portfolio is not only for screening purpose. Should the applicant be offered an interview, the portfolio will be scrutinized by the Admission Committee members again. The Consultancy has the expertise to provide in-depth guidance on the preparation and organization of portfolio.
The interview is arguably the most crucial exercise in gaining admission to the study programme of choice. Receiving an invitation for an interview means the applicant has passed the screening and remains competitive for admission. The Admission Committee usually examines the portfolio meticulously before the interview and prepare sharp questions to “sieve out” the best candidates for the limited places. Interviewing methods have been modified and diversified in the recent decade. Frequently, many perfectly acceptable candidates did not gain acceptance because of inadequate interview performance. The Consultancy has a special expertise on professional school interviewing skills.
Choosing the most suitable university is a daunting task. It is not about simply choosing the most prestigious institution possible. Each university differs in its areas of strength – teaching, research, resources including facilities and library holdings, reputation, society commitment to name a few. Ultimately, not only the school chooses its students, but one should also choose the school that offers the “best-match”. The Consultancy has extensive knowledge on university particulars through ongoing research and educational fair participations. We work with the applicant to decipher their needs and match them with the most appropriate institutions.
Asclepius Consultancy offers a range of advisory services to suit individual requirements.
