Ms. Verena Lam

Verena is a global pharmaceutical professional who spans her career life in various countries. She is a natural explorer and this plays an important part in her career paths. 

Before embarking her journey in the Biotech industry, Verena spent 10 years working as a clinical pharmacist in various settings in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Since earning her Pharmacy qualifications, she developed particular interests in gastroenterology and oncology. She loved the fast pace being at the front line and enjoyed her role at the point of care in the disciplinary team. In recent years, she is drawn to medicine innovation. She is now in the space of pharmacovigilance in a leading Biotech company in California. 

Verena loves travelling, from charity projects, Safari trips, to cosmopolitan city visits. She is also a mum of two who enjoys outdoor activities with them under the California weather. With two children, it is important to balance her work and family life. She recently started calligraphy because her children started to write. This is one of the many ways they can spend quality time to grow and accomplish together. 

Verena has always been proud of studying Pharmacy; it was a decision that open many doors in her career. We are in the era of applying advanced Science in managing diseases and curing of rare diseases that no one has done in the past, this profession has become more valuable than ever.
